PA ELIZABETHTOWN — Elizabethtown Borough Council revised parking restrictions and approves capital spending. Council voted unanimously to re-advertise Ordinance 1033, limiting cul-de-sac parking bans to declared snow emergencies rather than a fixed November-April window after resident complaints. The body approved two change orders for street tree repairs totaling unexpected additional costs and extended the completion deadline, and backed a 10,750 dollar seed modification for stream restoration.
Borough Manager Ann Roda presented preliminary 2027 Capital Improvement Projects worth approximately 2.562 million dollars, including 812,000 dollars for bridge repairs and a 1.75 million dollar storm sewer project for three neighborhoods. In two separate 4-1 votes, Council kept the Residential Rental License fee at 80 dollars per unit and extended the Railroad Ridge Land Development Plan review to December 17, 2026; Councilmember Andrew Schoenberger opposed both.
