PA ELIZABETHTOWN — Elizabethtown Council approves sanitary sewer bid, rejects storm component bids. The Borough Council unanimously approved the low bid from Anrich Inc for the sanitary sewer component of the South Poplar Street Sewer Improvements Project – Phase 2 but rejected all bids for the storm component, requiring re-bidding. The Market Street pedestrian crossing project will save $30,857.50 through a conversion from hardwired electric to solar-powered lighting, approved unanimously by Borough Manager Ann Roda's recommendation.
The High Street Apartments development at 449 W High Street advanced after securing a two-year Amtrak parking easement, potentially reducing the need for an additional parking lot.
