Council Mayor · Meeting of March 19, 2026

PA ELIZABETHTOWN — Elizabethtown Borough Council tables zoning text amendment for major mixed-use development. Council Member Andrew Schoenberger moved to table a proposed zoning ordinance amendment enabling a cross-municipal development near Route 283 and Route 743, following a public hearing where residents raised concerns about traffic, parking, environmental impacts, and school-district strain. The project would include warehouses, retail, a hotel, car wash, gas station, restaurant, and 108 apartment units.

In other business, Council awarded four infrastructure projects totaling $131,729: Stone Bid to R.E. Pierson ($31,944), Street Tree Concrete and Paver Repair to Wicho & Sons ($45,419), Center Square Masonry to BMK Construction ($29,430), and Market Street Inlet Replacement to DSW Services ($24,936). All votes were unanimous.
