Elizabethtown Council Bans Tobacco in Public Spaces

PA ELIZABETHTOWN — Elizabethtown Council unanimously bans tobacco use in borough buildings and downtown square. Council President Jeff Winterborne and members Matthew Rodriguez, Andrew Schoenberger, Jay Hynicker, and J. Marc Hershey (Councilmember Jeff McCloud absent) also approved Ordinance 1031 restricting parking on East High Street, effective May 11.
The Elizabethtown Bears Club, represented by Spencer Heisey and Laura Wentling, seeks a long-term lease at 700 West Bainbridge Street for baseball fields and a wrestling facility to address community athletic field needs. Council expressed interest in pursuing a partnership.
