Planning Commission backs zoning amendment for mixed-use development

PA ELIZABETHTOWN — Elizabethtown Planning Commission unanimously recommends approval of zoning text amendment for northside mixed-use development. The amendment enables 108 apartment units in Elizabethtown and non-residential development in Mount Joy Township, with one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and a leasing office; lot area would be set at 1,500 square feet per unit with maximum lot coverage of 60 percent. Applicants Andy Miller of Catalyst Commercial Development and Claudia Shank of McNees Wallace & Nurick presented the proposal.
Danielle Derolf moved the recommendation for approval, seconded by Tyler Hoover; the motion passed unanimously and advances to Borough Council.
