Council Mayor · Meeting of July 2, 2026

PA ELIZABETHTOWN — Elizabethtown backs five-year police contract and infrastructure bids. Elizabethtown Borough Council unanimously approved a five-year contract with the Elizabethtown Police Officers Association during its July 2 meeting. The council accepted low bids from DSW Services for sewer maintenance and emergency work and from SLC Excavating for the Spring Garden Street Culvert Replacement Project.

Council also approved Change Order No. 3 and final payment from Wexcon for the 2025 Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project. In a separate action, the council voted to notice a proposed ordinance restricting parking on the north side of E. High Street at the Gerald Drive and Foxbury Drive intersections based on sight-distance concerns identified by Public Works staff using PennDOT evaluation criteria.
